In the places I’ve worked before, one thing that stood out for the top performers was their boldness. Sure they were many smart people. But the bold guys seem to always take the lead.
Remember that being bold doesn’t entail being loud or abusive. While you should speak up when you need to, your actions can be just as bold too.
There’s hardly anyone that has done anything remarkable without boldness. From soft spoken people like Elon Musk, to peaceful leaders like Gandhi and reformers like Dora Akunyili. These people are not just exceptional: they all possess(ed) the attribute of boldness despite different personalities.
Do not use your personality as an excuse. Be bold!
